It is with great sadness that we are officially cancelling all FUSION shows for this year based on the latest announcement on major events from the Province of New Brunswick. We thank everyone for their patience and support as we have considered this difficult decision.
The FUSION team was in full production on the latest show AKIKO with confirmed events this fall in Moncton, Fredericton, Edmundston and Halifax, when the world came to a complete stop. We were expecting over 4,000 guests and a total of 250 local artists presenting our shows.
“It is heartbreaking not to be able to present any shows this year especially given that we were presenting our show in Halifax for the first time.” says Matt LeBlanc, Founder and Executive Director of FUSION Productions. “We are obviously very sad but we are in full agreement with the decision from the Province of New Brunswick. We have to do our part in keeping the population safe in this unprecedented time.”
There is always positive in any negative situations. Next year, the group will celebrate its 10th anniversary so this downtime will help plan bigger shows and celebrations for 2021.
“To our guests, volunteers, artists, sponsors and partners: thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do to make FUSION a reality. We are eternally grateful for your support and we are happy to report that we will be back next year bigger and stronger. Our thoughts remain with all of our partners, peers and the art community who have been affected by COVID-19.”
The increasingly popular FUSION show has had fifteen consecutive sold-out events since its inception with almost 10,000 guests enjoying our creative productions in various cities. The FUSION concept is very unique as we recruit local artists in the region we operate offering local flavors to all the shows. Every show also supports local charities, with the help of silent and live auctions. This is an important part of the concept, as FUSION is very much a community production. Since its inception, FUSION events have raised over $150,000 for various charities.
